About Us
We are qualified, registered UK architects and have been specialising in custom architectural designs since 2013. We have extensive experience with a wide variety of different projects from swimming ponds to residential and commercial projects.
The Plans Company was created to offer affordable bespoke planning drawings to enable you to achieve planning consent on your project.
We believe we can create inspirational spaces for all and challenge the notion that architectural designed homes should cost the earth.
The Plans Company was founded in London in 2018 in order to create quality planning application drawings at affordable prices. In 2021 we relocated to Somerset.
How It Works
You send us some pictures of your house or the proposed site and a simple brief of your ideas.
We tell you the measurements we require, this is usually quite basic and you should be able to do it yourself with some simple instructions from us. Alternatively, we can arrange for a surveyor to visit the site.
We draw up a scheme and present it to you for comments and ideas which we can amend accordingly.
Once agreed we submit the plans to your local planning department for you. We can also draw you plans for projects that don't need planning consent, room conversions or permitted development projects for example.

10-20 sq.m £700
20-40 sq.m £800
40-60 sq.m £900
60-80 sq.m £1000
Prices include:
Plans, section, elevation, design & access statement
and planning submission.
Additional Fees:
Council application fee (approximately £175)
Digital scale map of your property (necessary for planning applications) at 1:1250 scale approx £60-£120 depending on the size of your project.
Prices shown are based on you providing existing measurements and photographs for us to work from.
Professional survey and/or site visit from £195.

HOW IS THE PLANS COMPANY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER COMPANIES?
We can design a workable planning pack based on measurements and photographs sent by the Client, saving huge amounts on Surveyors fees and site visits.
We have no expensive offices or meeting rooms.
Our architects work from home and have minimal outlay allowing us to charge sometimes less than a quarter of what we would have charged at the firms we qualified at.
We work with the Client to create a project they can afford to build.
We believe the less money spent than on architectural fees the more can be spent on construction.
We are all UK trained and registered qualified architects.
WHAT AREAS DOES THE PLANS COMPANY WORK IN?
We are now based in South Somerset but can and have worked all over the UK.
IS PLANNING PERMISSION APPROVAL GUARANTEED?
No, no one can guarantee planning approval. That being said our architects have been extremely successful and have experience in obtaining planning permission for some very difficult projects.
WHAT CERTIFICATIONS DO THE PLANS COMPANY DESIGNERS HAVE?
Our architects are fully qualified and registered with the ARB architects registration board.
